I had a FLEISCHMANN train set when I was a boy in the late 50´s and much later I started to buy what I used to desire in those days. So in the mean time I became a quite serious collector.
Generally I'm interested in items produced in the 50's and 60's, when locomotives normally were all metal and trucks were either tinplate (8 wheel passenger cars) or metal base with plastic top (others). I even love to buy parts or items in bad condition and repair them. This kind of mechanical work is only possible with the old toys. If plastic bodies are broken they are gone.
FLEISCHMANN pieces were produced for the overseas market as well, and these editions are becoming interesting collector's items in Germany now. So, in case you have got anything to offer or just seeking information, please do not hesitate to let me know.
